Adventures in Wonderland (5 stars, South London Press) was staged in an old Georgian manor house turned library, and the haunted corridors of an art deco theater in SE London Oct 2010 & July 2011. An interactive promenade show, Wonderland gave the audience freedom to follow familiar yet strange characters and backwards riddles to discover scenes, installations and games relating to Alice’s journey. No two outings of Wonderland were the same, the production developed and responded to its surroundings and collaborators. To see the trailer click here
Supermarket Shakespeare is a devised play inspired by Shakespeare’s sonnets, performed in the aisles of Sainsbury’s supermarkets (whilst they are open!) in various stores in South London. Supermarket Shakespeare has been surprising and delighting shoppers and staff for the past three years.
“a neat idea, cleverly executed, that puts theatre into real life and real life into theatre” The Guardian
Supermarket Shakespeare challenges the way that people experience theater, offering a free and unusual way for new audiences to engage.
